Singing teacher

Lena Hellström-Färnlöf studied at Musikhögskolan in Göteborg and at Operahögskolan in Stochholm and pursued studies abroad with Vera Rosza, Oren Brown och René Jacobs. On the operatic stage Lena has performed many roles e.g. Proserpina, Blondchen, Adelé, Antonina, Frasquita and Madame Cortese. She has sung concerts throughout Europe and made many recording of which one was nominated by Naxos as CD of the month in the USA.

Lena was in 2011 appointed Professor and Head of Department for chamber music and musical studies at Mälerdalens Musikhögskole in Sweden. She has taught many singers currently performing at the Royal Swedish Opera and opera companies throughout the world and gives master classes in Sweden and abroad.
